In order for faculty members to vote at monthly faculty meetings during the academic year, they must be eligible to vote. On occasion, such as in a faculty meeting with large attendance and a request for secret ballot, voting may need to be conducted electronically. Under these circumstances, in addition to being eligible to vote, you must be present at the meeting, connected to eduroam (the University Wi-Fi network), and logged into the My PrincetonU platform on a web browser or mobile app.Please follow the instructions provided here to check your voting eligibility, to connect your device to the eduroam wireless network, and to enable your connection and to log in to My PrincetonU. Should you experience any difficulties with your eduroam connection or accessing My PrincetonU through a web browser or mobile app, please contact your department’s Support for Computing in Academic Departments (SCAD). Your department manager can direct you to your SCAD should you not know who they are. Voting EligibilityRules & Procedures of the Faculty (II.C.1) identifies members of the voting faculty, as follows: “The tenured faculty consist of the Professors and tenured Associate Professors, and the tenure-track faculty consist of the non-tenured Associate Professors and Assistant Professors. The Lecturer Ranks consist of the University Lecturers, Professors of the Practice, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, Instructors, Lecturers with the Rank of Professor, and Lecturers with the Rank of Associate Professor. The Faculty consists of the President, the Academic Officers, the tenured and tenure-track faculty, and the Lecturer Ranks. The President, the Academic Officers, the tenured and tenure-track faculty, and full-time members of the Lecturer Ranks are entitled to vote at meetings of the Faculty and in any circumstances where votes of the Faculty are taken.
