She also works with postdoctoral research associates appointed to the ranks of postdoctoral research associate, postdoctoral research fellow, postgraduate research associate and associate research scholar.Kate is a New Jersey native who returned to Princeton in 2018 after six years in Massachusetts where she worked at Babson College’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business as a career adviser. Prior to Babson she directed the entrepreneurship program at Smith College. Previously at Princeton, she was the assistant director of the Griswold Center for Economic Policy Studies. Before switching gears to work in academia, she launched new products for American Express, led marketing at a technology startup, advised microcredit recipients in The Gambia through VSO, and crafted public relations campaigns for Eli Lilly, Nabisco, Kodak, Warner Bros., Tyco Toys (now Mattel), Better Homes and Gardens, and Simon and Schuster. She began her career in radio as a reporter in Vienna, Austria, and later became the producer of Joan Rivers’ nationally syndicated radio show broadcast from New York City.She received her Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Master of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.Areas of ResponsibilityCareer Advising
